A Celtic Candlelighting

A Trinitarian prayer for gathering in the presence of God
#gathering #candle-lighting #incarnation

You will need:
~ three candles appropriate to the season
~ if possible, a three-headed candle holder to visibly represent the Three-in-One
~ can assign three readers with the final "stanza" in unison

Blessed be you,
O Cause and Creative Origin of all things.
You are here:
in the rising and the falling,
in the resting and the waking,
in the working and the waiting.

Light the first candle.

Blessed be you,
O Wanderer and Way Maker among all things.
You are here:
in the laughing and the crying,
in the breaking and the healing,
in the listening and the speaking.

Light the second candle.

Blessed be you,
O Love and Life’s Breath within all things.
You are here:
in the settling and the dancing,
in the whispering and the roaring,
in the dreaming and the igniting.

Light the third candle.

O Threefold Presence, You are here:
in the unity and the diversity,
in the shadow and the sunlight,
in the journey and the destination.
Blessed be you!

    thank you, Yvonne,

I love it and will enjoy sharing it with Hillston-Gunbar congregations.

May God continue to bless your creative talent for liturgies with a deep and meaningful difference.
